VERTIGO is an independent production and film service company founded by Rafael Lewandowski in 2007 and based in Warsaw. His team is flexible, creative and multilingual. It offers the possibility of cooperation and funding assistance in Poland from location scouting, casting, budgeting and production planning. Our goal is to develop co-production projects between France and Poland.

This is a story that has never been told: that of the thousands of children who wandered through Europe at the end of World War II. The thousands of lost children who were then used for political endsby the winning powers between 1945 and 1952. It’s a global historical investigation into the aftermaths of the deadliest conflict ever. It is an unknown story that took place in the immediate aftermath of the war, overshadowed by the atrocities of the conflict. For 7 years, the Allies presided over the destiny of unaccompanied children on German and Austrian territory, ignoring their countries of origin, who their parents were and their nationalities. This was in their own interest, not in the interest of the children. Thanks to the declassification of French archives, this is the story that we will tell; the intimate accounts of the social workers responsible for the lost children and the testimonies of these children today who are now adults in search of the truth.
